Errands For Ethan
We started this blog in memory of our little boy, Ethan, who died from an AVM on March 26, 2011. Every March 26 is Errands for Ethan day. The day he became an angel is the day we want to share in "angel errands". On March 26 (or any other day), do a random act of kindness in memory of Ethan or a loved one you have lost. This idea was inspired by a dear friend. Thank you. Please email us with any stories of service or random acts of kindnesses you wouldn't mind sharing.

Cookies
Baked cookies and took them to work for my co-workers today and made freezer meals giving them to people in need.

Encouraged
I love how just looking for opportunities brings them....
I have been really paying attention to opportunities to do something nice for someone this past week. I have to say when I am looking the opportunities are there. I really love that this has encouraged me to think about and do random acts of kindness. Thank you, Ethan!

Not much...
I think this is a little more than "not much".....
I was not able to do much today. I had a doctors appt. this morning, and I am not able to be around to many people right now. I was able to make breakfast for my husband, so he could have a good breakfast when he got home from work. He has been working so many hours, and it is really wearing him down. Unfortunately, I am not able to work right now, so he is carrying the load. Thank you Lord for such a wonderful man.

Moving
Had pizza delivered for dinner to a wonderful family in our ward that are moving. :-( Then went over and helped pack a few boxes. (and visited). Thank you Ethan for the inspiration. -Odessa

Wonderful Way to Honor
Here is an example of what someone did last year on Errands for Ethan day.
Being the first anniversary of his death, it was amazing what it did for us to read all of what was going on in his memory. The day was so much easier for our little family.
Errands for Ethan...such a wonderful and lovely way to honor the sweet life of your dear son. :) Today I did all of my consulting appointments for free in honor of Ethan. The families who still wanted to pay I asked to instead donate the money to the nearest shelter or food bank. They did so happily. Thank you for letting me be a part of this very lovely expression.

In Memory of Ethan
I have decided that in addition to every March 26 being Errands for Ethan day, I am going to share a story of service each day or as often as I can! I'll begin by sharing those who have given me permission to share their stories from the last Errands for Ethan day. So many random acts of kindness were shared last year that I hope this will be another avenue of sharing them.
